When life fell apart, Demons My Friends once again found solace in music. For their sophomore album Survive/Yourself, the heavy trio wrote for five days in Cuernavaca, Mexico, channeling a year of personal turmoil (sick relatives, lost jobs and family crises) directly into the music. Recording became a multi-experience journey through four different studios, made possible by long-time collaborators and producers Jeff Henson, Pastas and Fer Monroy.
Survive/Yourself is the raw emotional document of a band holding it together when everything else was falling apart. Intricate and dark as ever, this new 8-tracker captures the Mexican-American trio's explosive sound through wistful, grungy atmospheres, pummeling drums and grooves, searing guitars and gripping vocal hooks, offering moments of clarity amid chaos. Fans of everything from Soundgarden, Alice In Chains to Corrosion of Conformity or Monolord should love this!
